Cheltenham Festival is the Jumps season showpiece and its traditional spot in March is one of the highlights of the British sporting calendar. It’s known as the ‘Horse Racing Olympics’, with four seven-races cards to enjoy from Tuesday to Friday, featuring 14 Grade 1 races.
There’s also a ‘Championship’ race to enjoy each day throughout the Festival. Day One features the Champion Hurdle, which is also the final leg of the Road to Cheltenham and the Triple Crown of Hurdling.
Day Two’s centrepiece is the Queen Mother Champion Chase, which is seen as the pinnacle for two-mile chasers.
Day Three’s featured race is the Stayers’ Hurdle. It’s run over three miles and is the leading long-distance hurdle renewal of the National Hunt season.
The fourth and final day of the Festival features the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the most prestigious National Hunt race of all. It features 22 fences and it’s roll of honour includes legendary horses such as Arkle, Kauto Star, Best Mate and Denman.
We’ll have odds for every single race at Cheltenham Festival, with Ante-Post markets updated throughout the season as the field shapes up.
The Grand National is the most famous steeplechase in the world and the single biggest betting race of the year, attracting many people who don’t otherwise follow racing. It’s estimated that 500 to 600 million people watch the race unfold in over 140 countries worldwide.
It’s always a thrilling watch, with 40 runners tackling the marathon 4m2½f course at Aintree. The Grand National features bigger fences than those usually found on National Hunt course. Some of those corners have become famous in their own right now, such as The Chair and Becher’s Brook.
However you make your Grand National selection, whether you go by form, pedigree or just because you like a particular name, we’ll have all the odds at Coral.
