Coral have cut Liverpool to 11-8 to finish the season in the Top 4 of the Premier League following their 3-1 victory away to Sunderland. The results sees the Reds move up to second in the table, and keeps the Black Cats rooted to the bottom with only one point from their opening six games.

Sunderland, who are still seeking a new manager following the sacking of Paolo Di Canio, are now evens to be relegated this season and 7-2 to finish bottom of the Premier League table.

“Whoever does come in to replace Di Canio can take a lot of positives away from Sunderland’s  defeat to Liverpool as the scoreline doesn’t reflect the Black Cats efforts, said Coral’s Tim Reynolds.

“For Liverpool, Luis Suraez once again proved his worth to the club and if the Uruguayan can keep out of trouble, the Reds should definitely be pushing for a Top 4 finish come the end of the season,” added Reynolds.

Elsewhere, Norwich City’s 1-0 victory away to Stoke sees the Canaries eased to 5-2 to be relegated. The Potters, who have now lost their last two league matches, are now 11-2 to be playing Championship football next season.
