So, ahead of the clashes from Friday night until Saturday evening, Coral outline Championship tips for weekend fixtures. Enjoy.
Brentford to topple Fulham
The Championship’s weekend action kicks-off with a Friday night west London derby between Brentford and Fulham, a fixture which the visiting Cottagers have not tasted much success in during the last two campaigns.
Only one position and a single point separates the two before their clash as well, though Fulham have not won a league meeting since 1998. Brentford are therefore a promising 11/8 to topple their opponents for what would be a fourth time in five match-ups.
3.5 goals to be scored in Wolves v Derby
Saturday’s early encounter sees Wolves contest Derby County and it’s a fixture which has produced plenty of goals in the last couple of seasons.
Last term the two clashes saw nine scored, while the campaign prior had seven across both meetings. So in light of such high-scoring matches, you can back there to be 3.5 goals struck this time out at 7/2.
Norwich and Leeds to share spoils
Both Norwich City and Leeds United look likely of being two teams battling for promotion places at the back-end of this season and they collide next at Carrow Road.
The pair drew 2-2 in the EFL Cup recently before Leeds prevailed on penalties, with that being one of four draws across five previous meetings after 90 minutes. Therefore, another stalemate domestically can be backed at 13/5.
Newcastle to beat Cardiff and both score
Newcastle have won all eight of their previous league match-ups with Cardiff and will enter proceedings on the back of seven straight victories in all competitions.
The Toon face a Bluebirds side that are able to find the net though, so Benitez’s hosts are a promising 5/2 to secure success and both teams get on the scoresheet.
Brighton to down Bristol to nil
Brighton and Hove Albion are presently sitting pretty in second place of the standings, while Bristol City are slightly further down in sixth position.
The away side for Saturday’s evening match-up have also won five of their last six recent fixture meetings, including keeping five clean sheets in those games. Brighton look set for more success here and are 3/1 to triumph to nil.
