Sven-Goran Eriksson to become Scotland’s next boss?
Latest odds on Scottish managerial job
Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has had his odds cut to just 10/1 on becoming the next Scottish National team manager after the Swede declared his interest in the job this morning.
Eriksson has been without a manager’s job since his brief tenure as Philippines manager came to an abrupt end in January, following the Azkals’ winless Asian Cup debut.
The Swede boasts an impressive 59% win rate from his five-year stint as Three Lions boss, winning 40 of his 67 games in charge.
“We have seen a flurry of bets for Sven-Goran Eriksson ever since he declared his interest in the Scotland job and, as a result, his odds have come crashing down,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“Scot Gemmill and Steve Clarke remain the top two names in the betting, while Slaven Bilic continues to be popular with punters,” added Hill.
Next permanent Scotland manager
6/4 Scot Gemmill, 9/4 Steve Clarke, 3/1 Slaven Bilic, 9/2 Malky Mackay, 8/1 David Moyes, 10/1 Sven Goran Eriksson, 14/1 Derek McInnes, 18/1 Walter Smith, 20/1 Craig Levein
