Mikel Arteta now 2/7 to leave Arsenal before the end of the season
Arsenal boss under threat after Carabao Cup defeat
Under-fire Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is looking increasingly likely to leave the club before the campaign is over, according to our latest odds.
After losing 4-1 at home to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup last night, Arteta is now just 2/7 to exit the Emirates (was 1/2).
The Gunners currently sit 15th in the league, only four points above the relegation zone, after losing eight top-flight fixtures already this term.
They host London rivals Chelsea on Boxing Day next, though they’re 3/1 outsiders to get a much-needed win.
“Mikel Arteta’s position at Arsenal is looking more precarious as the season progresses. The Carabao Cup is unlikely to have been at the top end of the Gunners’ priorities, however, their miserable form continues, which means the Spaniard’s odds have been cut again on him leaving the club before the end of the season,” said Coral’s John Hill.
