Arsenal v Tottenham betting tips: Lacazette loves a Spurs goal
Preview and odds for Sunday’s Premier League clash
Sunday’s North London derby promises to be a fascinating affair and we have looked at the odds in a bid to find some Arsenal v Tottenham betting tips.
Both teams have suffered indifferent starts to their respective campaigns, but we can expect another full-blooded contest with the Gunners seeking only their second win in seven meetings against the Lilywhites.
Sunday’s match, which takes place at the Emirates Stadium, kicks off at 4.30pm and is live on Sky Sports.
Arsenal v Tottenham match odds
Having lost their opening three games by a combined score of 9-0, Arsenal have bounced back with a pair of 1-0 victories – at home to Norwich and away at Burnley.
They last earned three consecutive 1-0 wins in August 2008 and it is 13/2 for that result to occur again on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s side are currently 13th in the table with six points, three behind Spurs who are seventh, having won their opening three Premier League games.
Arsenal are the 13/10 favourites to win the clash, and it is arguable that the manager has been able to field his best side. He has used no less than 26 players and has made the most changes (16) in personnel this season. It does appear they are suffering some growing pains, as the average age of his side is the youngest in the division at 24 years and 328 days old.
After winning their first three league games all 1-0 this season, Tottenham have lost 3-0 in both of their last two, with both matches being London derbies.
Spurs have never lost three consecutive league games by three-plus goals in their history. It is 11/8 that Arsenal score two goals or more in the contest.
They did gain some comfort in reaching the last 16 of the League Cup in midweek, beating Wolves on 3-2 penalties after a 2-2 draw at Molineux.
Since consecutive 0-0 draws at Highbury in 1997-98 and 1998-99, Arsenal have scored at least once in each of their last 22 Premier League home games against Spurs, who clearly have a few defensive issues at present and are 21/10 to win. The draw is on offer at 11/5 In the Arsenal v Tottenham betting tips.
“Penalties is not luck. We practiced them and we did really well.”

Arsenal v Tottenham head-to-head
Arsenal beat Spurs 2-1 in this fixture in March, but they have not won consecutive league games against Tottenham since doing the double over their rivals in the 2013-14 campaign. It is 4/7 that Tottenham earn at least a point on the Double Chance market.
However, Tottenham have won just one of their last 28 away league games against Arsenal (D11 L16), coming from behind to win 3-2 in November 2010. They are 16/1 to come from behind to win this time.
Five of the last seven meetings have seen both sides net and the odds for that to occur again are 4/5.
Seven of the last 15 clashes saw three goals or more scored in total and it is 21/20 for that to be the case on Sunday.
Arsenal v Tottenham key battles
In case he did not know it before he arrived at Tottenham Hotspur, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are heavily reliant on Harry Kane.
The England captain’s failed summer bid to engineer a move to Manchester City is perhaps a small part of the problem why Spurs are suddenly struggling.
While they have had a number of injuries and Covid-related issues to contend with, defensively they have had trouble at set-pieces.
While it is true that Kane has yet to score in the Premier League and has touched the ball just 10 times in the opposition penalty area during his four league appearances, he is only part of the problem.
He will find the scoring thread again soon and is 13/8 to score at any time. He has never gone without a goal against Arsenal in back-to-back games.
Likewise, Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has scored in each of his last three against Spurs at the Emirates – no Arsenal player has ever scored in four consecutive home league games against Tottenham – and he is 17/10 to score and 10/1 to net two or more.
