Greyhound Trader’s Tips: All eyes on Tralee tonight

| 24.03.2020

Betting tips and preview from our trader, James Pryce

After the suspension of today’s action at UK tracks from the Greyhound Board of Great Britain, our attention turns to Irish racing at Tralee.

There are 10 races on the card, with the action due to start at 18:57, but it’s the 20:32 race that’s caught our eye.

Racing from trap six, Millridge Cody has shown plenty of pace in his recent races, but hasn’t been able to see it through after being caught late on. He drops down to an A5 grade for tonight’s race for the first time since 2018, which could stand in his favour.

He’s won an A3 grade race as recently as December, so with easier company in this evenings race, he could lead from start to finish.

Catwalk Queen runs in the 20:48 race, and she’s another to have captured out attention. She’ll be running from trap one tonight, looking to get off the mark with a first career win.

She’s made a promising start to her career despite being unable to convert, being beaten by just a head in A4 company. That race saw her jump up two grades to A2, and despite finishing second in that race by less than a length, she’s been downgraded to A3 for tonight’s race.

Given her inexperience, she should be naturally improving with each run. She’ll be looking to lead on the rails and if she does improve again, this puppy could prove hard to catch.
